I am very conscious of the world around me, both nature and human made. This month I begin teaching the Awakening the Illuminated Heart workshops (such joy!). I noticed, actually very hard to miss, on my drive in to the venue where I was teaching that the country road I took every morning was lined with Queen Anne’s Lace flowers. Densely lined with this beautiful flower, some call a weed.
As I brought my attention to the Queen Anne’s Lace flowers I noticed they were everywhere in large quantities. Now, I know in my logical mental mind that we are in a drought and there are some plants that grow better in dry soil conditions and Queen Anne’s Lace is one of them. Yet, on the spiritual level, I knew in my heart that Nature was telling me something.
The Warren’s Awakening the Illuminated Heart workshop was being fully supported by Nature, Mother Earth, by bringing the Spirit or the Medicine of this flower to our waking minds. I took a little time to find out about this flower and found that it was named after Queen Anne of England and she took on the challenge to create a lace as beautiful as the flower. She pricked her finger and some of her blood stained the thread of the lacing which is what we see as a light purple color in the flower.
I also found out that Queen Anne’s Lace is the Wild Carrot. We use its essence in the cultivated food, carrot, as Beta Carotene and Vitamin A which helps our physical bodies with our eyes, brain and sensory body. Linking that essence back to our Spiritual growth we can “sense” the support from Queen Anne’s Lace as it helps us to balance the physical senses with the spiritual senses. The plant has a large tap-root that grows a very strong root system spreading in abundance. With its Umbrella shaped growth into the flower and its tap-root we have the connection between Air and Earth, a balance necessary for soul growth.
This is so interesting to me as I taught a workshop that assists people to connect their brain to their hearts so that they can be in a position to live their physical lives and create from their hearts. I love it when Nature supports us and we understand that support. How cool is Life???
Join me, Wednesday, July 18, at 9 pm EST, on Sacred Hoop radio show on Souls Journey Radio, as we continue our chat about How Nature supports Our Spiritual Growth.
