I can’t believe how fast the summer is going. It’s July already! In the Potawatomi language and culture the month of July is known as Half Summer Moon. This is pretty logical since July is the middle month of the three summer months (June, July, August). Half Summer Moon position on the Medicine Wheel is due South.
The sun is directly overhead and the time of day is Noon. The human development stage at Half Summer Moon is young adulthood. The element of Fire is the Spirit or Medicine of the South. The South represents the outward energies of male, transformation, purification, change and maturation. Plants and crops are growing toward full ripeness. They are growing toward harvest.
From a sacred geometry perspective, the compass direction of the South is represented by the Tetrahedron. The Tetrahedron is triangular-shaped with 4 sides (includes the bottom) and carries the element of Fire.
Enjoy the warmth of the Summer months.
